&lt;p&gt;KIGM was a military training field in WW2. It had thousands of aircraft on the field, which extended quite a ways to the southwest at that time. It is much smaller now, although local lore has it that expended cannon shells and other training artifacts can be found in the desert to the south.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;KIGM has an excellent breakfast/lunch cafe open every day except Monday.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
