I must admit, the terminals have improved dramatically under this administration. Immigration being the biggest improvement of all. Yet, the only thing that is of a negative nature is the amount of airport staff on their Smart phones. From ticket counters to gate terminal personnel. Not very professional! Perhaps they should utilize in designated break areas and out of public view. Yet, the terminals continue to improve and I hope one day to be compared to some of the better airports around the world.

I think that their emphasis should be more on that and oversized carry ons and whether people have too much liquids or any other forbidden carry on items.

Na surprised ako na ganun kabilis lang at halos lahat ng documents na kakailanganin ko dinala ko na, pero Rt ticket then Company I.D lang hiningi niya sa akin. Sa babaeng I.O ako pumila. Kung hindi ako nagkakamali, yung I.O na pinilahan ko, siya yung na-interview dati sa news. Mukhang masungit pero sa kanya pa rin ako pumila. HAHAHA

Feb 11, nung pabalik na ako from macau to hotel. Napansin ko na male-late pala ako sa flight. Then ayun nga naiwan ako ng eroplano pauwing pilipinas. Agad-agad nag pa book ako na pagkamahal-mahal na ticket. Sakit sa damdamin at bulsa. :D

My advice would be dress nicely and look like a tourist. (wear something floral and a hat. Just remove it when it's your turn na sa counter. Magsabay na kayo ng BF mo sa counter and if the IO i-request ng IO na you or your bf muna, just follow the IO.

However, since mej risky ang profile mo, better if may kakilala ka na may family business or anything. Hingi ka lang ng COE and make an ID. Gawa ka na din ng approved LOA. There are instances that some IO's ask for a health insurance card. If ever, just tell them "I did not bring it. Kailangan po ba yun?''.

There's a chance naman na makalusot kaya lang you know some IOs. Basta be confident lang and pray. Enjoy your trip!

I traveled last week, and of course it was my first time to go out of the Philippines, and I was alone. Got super nervous kasi may second interview. The officer who interviewed me for the second time was good enough. He just asked me how much I earn, how long I had been working, and where I was based. Ayn. he even asked how much I had. I showed him my ticket which was booked several months in advance, and the proof of accommodation, and the reason I was alone. Then he was convinced that I would really go there as a tourist and not to do something fishy, ha! Ha! Although I was freaking out because I was nervous as hell, as long as your intentions are good, you're in good hands. I totally understand our officers, they're just doing those things for us :) Knowing our tarnished reputation around the globe. BTW, I had my COE, leave of absence letter, company ID and I just signed my contract before the trip, so I must say lahat ng "bala" ni ready ko. ha! ha! Pati number ng general at assistant managers namin! I also made sure that my mobile data works well in case they ask for my company website. Just talk to them properly AND politely no matter how STERN they appear. Lalo pag babae ka, kasi we are subject to different forms of exploitation. They are still humans with a heart after all.

I agree with answering IO questions properly. Wag papasindak at wag papangunahan ng kaba. Kung kaya, maintain eye to eye contact and less talk less mistake. Kung ang tanong ay pwede sagutin ng one word, wag na mag elaborate. Need din siguro na maging a little bit intimidating ang aura para hindi ka mapagdiskitahan. Yung mga dadalhin ko mostly from blog at sa website ng BI. Valid passport,Visa(if required) RT ticket, Hotel Booking, Itinerary.Tapos kung Secondary Inspection, Bank Certificate,ITR, Leave of Absence, Company I.D, Certificate of Employment, NSO.

A SECONDARY INSPECTION would be necessary if it appears like the traveller has a different reason other than what he has initially declared before the Immigration Officer. Travellers who are most likely to go through secondary inspections are first time travellers and those who have no steady source of income. These people will be further assessed based on the following criteria.

Yung sakin kasi nagprepare ako ng sobra para sa pagpunta ko dito sa dubai. Almost everyday akong nagreressearch on how to pass the Philippine immigration. Luckily i passed. Company id lng ang hiningi sakin and then tatak na. Tanong lang ng school, work at kung first time ko magtravel. Tips lang. Be confident yung sakto yung di mayabang yung parang excited ka kasi magttravel ka out of the country, then dress properly pero di naman oa. Eye contact sa immigration officer important din para mafeel nia sincerity ng sagot nio. Saka mag over prepare n kayo ng documents para sgrdo pero wag nio ilalabas hanggat hindi hinihingi. Yun lanh nandto na ko ngayon sa dubai. Good luck sa lahat!

Wala naman problem siguro kasi family naman kayo mag travel. Make sure lang may rountrip ticket kayo at confirmed hotel booking. Mas mahigpit lang talaga sila sa mga solo first time traveler na babae. Flight ko din next year february going to Hong kong tapos solo lang ako. Worried din ako since first time ko lang mag abroad.

When my friend and i went to switzerland, wala syang work at 1 month pa lang ako sa work ko, natagalan ang friend ko sa interview,pero once lang naman sya nainterview. Pinakita lang namin yung affidavit of support na may attachment ng documents namin,all bound together na nkared ribbon at galing sa Philippine embassy sa switzerland. So kahit wala work ang friend ko at first time nya lalabas ng bansa, nakalusot pa din kami. Tita ng friend ko ang nagsponsor sa amin going to switzerland.

As per our case with my sister sa HK naman kami ID lang hinanap sa amin pero my COE and letter of leave (job oder kami) to be ready. Basta ang hinanap lang is return ticket, hotel bookings and ID. And nagask lang sya kung may GSIS kami, yun lang.

If worried ka na tatawagan ang company mo, better na magpastandby ka for an earlier flight or gabi na since wala naman offices nun. Our original flight was 4pm pero since nasa airport na kami ng maaga nagpastandby na lang for first flight para sulit din yung punta.

Flying to any nearest Gulf country from Sharjah Airport, Returning to Sharjah Airport and getting the New Visit Visa

If you are in a hurry to re-enter the country this option will be suiting you the most. Adventure Emirates visa consultants will be advising about the procedure very well at the time you contact them.

In gist: this visa option lets the applicant to exit UAE from Sharjah Airport and fly to Muscat or any nearest gulf country. You are not required any Oman entry permit to enter Oman or another Gulf country since you will return by the same flight to Sharjah as soon as possible (within 1-2 hours).

Once, you are back to Sharjah airport, you will be waiting at the airport (6-18 hours)until your new UAE Visa gets approved by the immigration. Since the new rules by the Immigration Department is not permitting to extend or renew any type of UAE Visit Visas, it’s a mandatory requirement for you to exit the country on or before the last valid date of your visa to avoid overstay fines.

Filipinos have some better option when they want to extend their UAE tourist visa to some more days. Since they are allowed to obtain Oman Entry Permit to do the visa change, they can exit United Arab Emirates ,Enter Oman and come back to UAE with a new tourist visa.Usually, many other nationalities are not given this opportunity to enjoy the advantage of this option as the Oman Immigration Department does not entertain every nationalities to enter Oman.

OPTION 1

Getting the Oman Visa, Going to Oman by Bus, Staying in the Hotel till the visa is ready and returning back to UAE

Pero when I travelled to Thailand, USD po ang dala ko then after ma-stamp ng passport ko andun na po yung money changers sa may baggage area pinapalitan ko. I forgot to mention din nga pala, it was not only the IO in the window desk who asked me questions, she had to refer me to another IO, had me answer a questionnaire in the office near the window desks, and that's where my nightmare began, I think that IO holds a higher position than those who stays at the window desks, he holds the final say whether those referred to him can board their planes or not. And you're right it's really the confidence that matters, it's just that, that was the first time that happened to me, sobrang nabigla ako, it felt humiliating, I also kept on looking at my watch kasi I think that happened 30 minutes my supposed boarding and that f*****g doesn't seem to care!

I'm usually very confident, with my English speaking ability, I'm not boasting but I can say I am a fluent speaker, I was actually answering most of his questions in English but man oh man, that IO really made me lose the confidence in me especially with his tone and the manner of how he spoke, I mean there's a big difference between being a professional who's just doing your job and being just flatout mean and a power-tripper. Agree ako dun sa sinabi nung isa. Madaming IO mahilig mangpowertrip (paulit ulit na tanong, mabusisi sa documents, paikot ikot tanong) pero yun kasi ang effective way para hulihin if nagsisinungaling ba yung tao. I don't get it bakit ka kakabahan if wala ka namang gagawing mali? I mean hindi mo ba kayang sumagot ng maayos and be confident? Kasi kahit tourist ka talaga pero barok ka magsalita kahit sino magdududa sayo. Siguro bago ka magprepare ng documents mas mabuti kung sarili mo muna ihanda mo. Build your confidence. Learn English and speak it fluently and most importantly, WAG NA WAG KANG MATATAKOT SA IO.

Based on my experience ganito madalas scenario ko sa harap ng IO:

IO: san ka pupunta? (while looking at my ticket and passport)

Me: (name of country)

IO: Sino kasama mo?

Me: I'll be travelling solo po sir/maam

IO: Bakit ka pupunta dun?

Me: I just wanna visit the country's historical sites (I like answering it specifically to my purpose - concerts, tourist attractions, aattend ng event, etc.)

IO: Saan mo nalaman about dyan? (I find it weird kapag tinatanong to pero just answer it anyway)

Me: History Channel (HAHAHAH ODIBA PASOK)

......

IO: (tatak passport and picture time na)

Me: Thank you sir/maam!

Odiba? Basta wag ka lang kabahan. Madalas ako matapat sa IO na masungit kahit anong iwas ko haha pero palagi ko lang iniisip na wala silang magagawa para harangin ako kaya just answer them ng maayos and you'll be fine.

FIRST TIME TO TRAVEL ABROAD (Europe)

I want to share what happened when my friend and I travelled to Europe last June 17.

NAIA Terminal 1 kami. Second time ko na aalis ng bansa while yung friend ko eh first time pa lang. As in bago at wala pang tatak passport nya. Dahil medyo wala syang alam pa pagdating namin ng immigration, sya ang pinapila ko at ako na ang kumuha nang card (embarkation card ba yun) at nagfill out para sa aming dalawa. Employed ako at 1 month pa lang sa work dahil kakaresign ko pa lang sa previous job ko while this friend of mine is unemployed.

Pagdating sa immigration, sa kasamaang palad pa natapat kami sa babae na mabusisi at mukhang mataray, hindi na ako masyado tinanong. Magkasama kaming pumunta sa IO dahil gusto ko na aalalayan ko ang friend ko na first timer. Ayoko na mag isa lang sya dahil baka magisa sya. So ako din nag abot ng mga passport namin pati nung cards.

(My case)

IO: Saan ka pupunta? At sino pupuntahan mo dun?

Ako: Sa switzerland po bibisitahin namin yung tita ng friend ko.

IO: may work ka? Ano work mo?

Ako: (stated my job)

IO: Gaano kana katagal sa work mo?

Ako: 1 month po.

IO: 1 month ka palang?

Ako: Opo

At ayun hiningi nya lang company ID ko at tinignan nya. Then tatak na. Pagkatatak at bigay ng passport ko, di ako umalis at nagbantay pa rin ako sa friend ko. Tinanong lang naman sya kung papano nya naging tita yung pupuntahan namin at para masatisfy yung IO, binigay namin yung Authenticated Affidavit of Support na pinadala ng tita nya from Switzerland. Kinuha yun ng tita nya mula sa Philippine embassy sa Bern.

Binusising maige nung IO yung affidavit at pagkatapos, tinatakan na din yung passport nya. Nakaalis kami kahit wala syang work at 1 month palang ako sa current job ko.

Ang advice ko, wag magpapasindak. Wag matatakot at magdasal nang maige. Presence of mind at wag na wag ka magsisinungaling kung hindi mo kayang back upan yung mga di totoong sasabihin mo. Kung may kasama kayong aalis, iassess nyo ang inyong mga sarili kung sino ang mukhang magiging tagilid pagdating sa IO at maging ready na yung kasama na tulungan yung tagilid nyang companion.

Sis, sa Royal View Hotel ako. I booked online thru Agoda. Mountain view room nga lang yung binook ko kasi mura, pero pagdating ko sa hotel, inupgrade nila ko for free sa Ocean View Room hahaha! Ganda tuloy ng view ko sa umaga lagi. Pocket money ko is 4k HK dollars. May dala ako credit card just incase. Mageenjoy kayo dito sis! Ang saya ng MTR nila. DIY ko lang din kasi itinerary ko eh. Sarap magexplore mag isa hehe

Share q lang po pra sa mga gusto mkaalis. First time and solo traveler po ako na nakaalis nung July 14 bound to dubai. Importante po may work or business kau dito sa pinas kasi kung wala mahirap po makalabas. Sa case ko tinanong nila ako ano daw work ko sabi ko may business tapos tinanong ako about my business nasagot ko naman lahat. Ano daw gagawin ko sa bansang pupuntahan ko sabi ko tourist hinanapan ako hotel voucher binigay ko nman. Wag po kau susugod ng incomplete docs dahil hndi po lahat ng IO ay malamig ang ulo pero psalamat na din po ako dun sa travel agency na tumulong skin para makaalis ako. Complete docs saka na briefing na nila ako. im here in Dubai now kakarating ko lang last night.

Syempre tinanong kasi naka record yun sa database nila. Sa tingin ko ang pagka strict ng IO ay depende sa bansang pupuntahan lalo na sa mga bansang ginagawang point of entry, pero para doon sa mga bansang alam naman nila na hindi basta nagpapapasok ng foreigners hindi sila masyadong mahigpit.

About sa CFO, I think since fiancee na kayo you can get it na. You will not get the sticker yet since wala ka pa visa but you can already have yung certificate, yun lng need ng IO. suggested lang cia na wag kunin if busy ka or what kasi nga babalik ka din namn eventually for the sticker but para saken mas madali nga yun. At least if may visa ka na. Punta ka na lng doon agd agd para kunin yung sticker just keep the receipt. Para di mo na need mag paschedule pa, minsan wala pa namn schedule. Eto lang naman ay kung marami ka namang time.

Salamat! Alam nyo po ba pano magprocess ng visa? Nasa process po kase kami ngayon ng k1 visa at ang advice samin wag muna kumuha ng cfo kase hindi sya irerelease kapag wala pa ung visa.

Ang dadalhin ko is ung invitation letter, bank statement nya, passport stamps na nagpunta na sya dito at nagspend ng time with my family at talagang magkasama kami even sa Singapore, tapos bank statement nya at payslip, pocket money in $$ po, taposung pictures kase may record na kami sa pagkakaalam ko kase ung IO nung first time namin umalis together nagprint cla ng pictures namin together, tapos ung passport na din nya for identification. Hi! We are going to HK this july 5-7, me, my husband and our 1 yr and 10 mos son. I checked the requirements for immigration it states passports should not be expired 6 mos upon travel. Its our first international flight. The problem is my husband's passport will expire december 25 2017.

Kulang kami ng 9 days para maging valid na 6 mos.

Dapat gumawa ng stat dec bf mo stating he is inviting you to go and stay with him. Ilagay nya dun yung date at address nya and of course your name and your relationship together. The letter should include he will support you with your expenses while in his care. Hope this helps. Thanks

Visa from dubai agency, round trip ticket(3 days 2 nights lang naman po), hotel reservation for the whole stay, also kpag hiningan ako ng company ID, CoE and approved LoA meron ako maipapakita kasi currently working naman po.pure vacation lang walang kakilala or friends. Mag request ka sa employer mo ng invitation letter na nagsasaad na pinapupunta ka sa company nila para mag evaluate ng ( nature of work or business ng company) within two weeks stay include itinerary na gagawin mo, they will provide accommodation and food at airline ticket airline na tugma sa itinerary mo. Hindi ko alam yung bayad sa Ferry. May possibility na hindi ka makalis. Depende sa IO at sa tanong sa iyo at sagot mo. the IO didn't asked me anything, I just handed her my back and forth ticket, hotel accommodation and company if. Then she just stamped my passport. My succeeding travels, I just handed them my back and forth ticket. No questions asked. Some of us are unlucky though and I feel sorry for our kababayans. Instead of paying escorts, save your money na lang and accomplish what was asked of you.

But no matter how many times I went abroad I always prepare documents like:

Return ticket

Hotel accommodation

Itinerary

COE

Company ID

Government ID

Bank certificate

Credit Card (not necessary by just in case)

Leave of absence form

ID of signatory of my leave of absence and COE

School ID

Show money (not necessary because they won't care how much money you have in hand)

As for bank certificate ( you need to show them that the account was opened not for the sake you have something to show them). If you're planning to go next year, start saving today. Red flag sa kanila na makita nila na bago account mo at isang bags akean ng malaking halaga. The bank certificate will show the your ADB and the date you opened your account.

If The IO didn't asked you any document, wag ibigay. Just give your passport, tickets and hotel accommodation. Be confident during your interview but not overly confident. Don't stutter, smile. Your body language will give you away. Actually there is no magic formula when it comes to our immigration, what works for me might not work for you. But the common denominator here is be prepared. Dress well also.

Sadly, nadadamay lang talaga and gustong magbakasyon as mga gawain ng mga illegal workers.

First time I left 2015 was with my sister and two other cousins. The flight was MNL-KL-JOG-KL-MNL. I was still a student at that time, I showed my school ID and Certificate of Registration, and I was with my sister so she vouched for all the payments made from her credit card. STAMPED. The second time I left was 2016. The flight was MNL-SGN-REP-MNL. I paid for my all my bookings through ECPay (711), booked hotels through Booking.com, was also flying with a friend so we went through immigration together. The lady IO asked me the nature of my job (Project Supervisor at a firm), then asked me for my company ID, COE, and LOA. Honest to God, I didn't know these things were necessary. So I told her I left all of the above at home. So she asked me for Gov't IDs (TIN, SSS, PhilHealth card in particular) but my company at that did not provide us any of the above. So I said "probationary" pa lang ako sa work ko kaya hindi pa nila ako nabibigyan. (Been working for more than a year there pero walang kahit anong benefits and we don't pay taxes kasi wala kaming SSS, Pag-ibig, etc. I know dapat sinumbong ko sila sa DOLE but I really LOVED my job and kindness got the better of me. Eventually, I quit.) At this point kabado nako kasi unang labas ko everything was a breeze. She was not convinced, so she asked me our itinerary in Saigon and Siem Reap (which I know by heart because I planned everything: budget, time, places to go, etc.) And also I pointed out to my friend sa kabilang IO cubicle. Then, STAMPED.

Now, I'm leaving PH alone but meeting a friend (babae at Pinoy din) in Hanoi. She will be coming from Dubai because she works there and is only on one-week leave. My friends tell me I shouldn't be paranoid because I've already been to 4 countries. But some IOs, I heard, can power trip really hard. Mas okay na mag-overprepare. Hope you guys can help me out!

Philippines and Pakistan passport holders especially who are in the UAE are in risk of being stranded due to the halt of 90-days Visa issuance by the UAE government.

Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes also confirmed about the halt of 90-day Visa processing and he said he also has no knowledge on the reason why they stopped it.

The Filipino Times visited various travel agencies whom also confirmed that the rule has been made effective starting June 1, 2017.

Eh tour po ako sa Thailand with my fiance. Pano po pag tinanong ano gagawin ko sa Thailand? Although kumpleto ako ng papers wala lang ako work. Sa Navy po kse sya tapos dun cla ngayon sa Thailand for two weeks pero 12 days lang ako dun. Nakapag SG na naman kaming dalawa last March at April pero natatakot kase ako dahil first time ko aalis mgisa.

Kapag nasa tapat kana ng cubicle ng immigration officer, iabot mo lang yung passport, boarding pass and departure card mo. Huwag ka mag aabot ng anuman aside from those 3 kung hindi naman hinihingi. Be calm at maintain eye to eye contact. Wag madaming sagot sa tanong, kung pwede yes or no lang ang sagot, yun lang ang sabihin mo. God bless!

Yup. Those are the initial requirements, passport, boarding pass, immigration departure card, hotel booking and ur round trip ticket.

Yun pong affidavit of Support manggaling po yun sa mag sponsor sa inyo. Kung ang mag sponsor po ay taga Dubai, siya po ang mag papatunay na siya ang gagastos sa inyo. (Food, accomodation, fight). Kailangan may proof siya na kaya kayong suporthan...kagaya ng status niya sa Dubai...residence o contarct workers.. Kailangan ang salary range niya ay hindi bababa sa 4,000 Dirhams /month. Hindi pwede na siya ay household workers.

Dalhin mo yung business permit ng store..ok lang sa kanya nakapangalan basta ba parehas kayo ng apelyido. Magdala ka na din ng Birth Certificate, para mapatunayan mo na anak ka niya. Magdala ka din ng ID.

Pag nasa harap ka na ng IO dapat handa na yung itenerary mo. Alam mo na schedule mo kung saan ka pupunta. halimbawa disneyland...alam mo na yung lugar kung saan ka mag stay. Mag google ka pa more. Be confident. Pag solo traveller at 3 days lang dapat hand carry lang ang dala mo. kasi nga kung may check in luggage ka baka mag isip yung IO. Basta iaabot mo lang yung passport mo at boarding pass. Kung ano yung kailangan ipakita yun lang ang pakikitamo at kung ano lang yung tanong yun lang sasagutin mo...Be confident. May tsansa ka kasing mapunta for 2nd inspection at interview dahil female ka at first time solo traveller. Good Luck.. at pls. acknowledge.

Are you also aware na mas mahigpit ang SG immigration? It's my first time in SG but I was referred for secondary inspection kahit may maayos na trabaho ako sa makati. Maraming pilipino ang binabalik ng SG lalo na kung hindi na screen ng maayos sa pinas. Better yet, the officers had allowed ur departure para maexperience mo ang ma airport to airport first hand

Na walang data dun sa pc ng IO sa cubicle so lahat ng mga question nya naka base sa departure card na ififill up mo and ibibigay sa IO. Pero kapag subject ka sa 2nd interview sa mismong office ng Immigration dun andun lahat ng data na puede nila tignan if you're telling the truth or not.

Just answer what question ng IO for example. Ano gagawin mo sa Thailand or Singapore just say travel, ilang years kana sa company mo 2 years. Kasi napansin ko lang kapag napansin ng IO na madaldal ka lalo dadami ang tanong and if puede mamili ng gender ng IO kapag pipila usually sa Terminal 1 and 3 sa lalaki kasi ang babaeng IO mabusisi and intimidating.
