Comments about Borongan Airport

The airport is still closed because it lacks of runway signs.......But the nearest airport in operation is Tacloban(TAC)....Guiuan Airport is also closed but the locals said the airport will be operational soon.

i hope God willing, borongan airport will be operational again. and this will be for a long haul. for all ESTEHANONS, let's hope and pray and do what we can to make this possible. maybe we have to put politics aside first and be united to make borongan airport operational. as one airline company said in their ads," bakit sasakay ka pa sa bus, mag airbus ka na"

I hope PAL and Cebu Pacific consider flying to Borongan.

i also don't know! but hopefully will gonna be open soon!!

Is there any plans to re-open for commercial service? Also, is there any general aviation traffic currently using this airport...or is it closed completely?

I had been informed Borongan airport will be operational this coming sept. 01, 2008.

According to the Wikipedia article, the airport is in operation, but it's not served by any airlines, so I imagine that the traffic is all general aviation.

When will it start operation?
