Wow...This is amazing! I have been in search of a yorkie puppy and when I came across the free puppy advertisement on the internet I thought I had hit the jackpot! I had e-mailed an individual regarding the puppy; however, there were two puppies coming as a pair. Unfortunatly I gave out my name and address ( no phone number..Thank God!) thinking I was going to get the puppies this week. I had e-mailed the individual asking if the puppies would be ok to fly among other questions as to the ownership fee and such. I received a reply telling me not to be skeptical! RED FLAG! The e-mail continued on with sentences ending in OK (as I have seen in other postings) and it was very pushy as to me sending the money because the puppies were being packed up. When I received an address to send a money gram to a state and city I have never heard of, I was prompted to google such info. I am so very grateful that many individuals have posted their experiances with this puppy scam. I honestly feel that it is the same people continuing on with this scam. I saw an advertisment online for a free teacup yorkie puppy. Simular to this. This magnificent teacup Yorkshire terrier puppy is Healthy, happy, well socialized. She is presently 13 weeks old and she is currently weighing 1. 8 Ibs estimated to mature at approximately 3. 5-4Ibs. She will become a wonderful companion to you if you have been looking for unconditional love.any interested christian family or pet caring home is free to contact for more information and pictures. I responed through e-mail. The owners of the puppy asked that I pay $100 and then they would send the puppy by the airlines. I paid the $100. Then they e-mailed me saying that the airlines required me to pay the insurance fee of $170 to the insurance agent. The infomation that they sent for me to send a moneygram transfere was very simlar to the first $100 I sent even though I was suposed to pay the agent. All along I had asked several questions of which very few got answered by the owners and the agent. Through correspondence I began to feel that this is a scam. I told the suposed insurance agent that I needed more information to validate that this not a scam to which they responed without validation. I received e-mails from a man, a lady, and a supposed insurance agent all e-mails were sent very close together as if the people were linked together.

All I can say is I called several insurance agents, airports, pet stores, money gram, all of which had no clue as to the logic of the situation. They all told me it was a scam and not give any more money the people.

I used to fly into Berz occasionally when I lived in Troy. In fact, I bought my first airplane there. I took flight training and took my first solo flight out of GHG (formerly 3B2). It's a lovely place, right on the beach and managed by great people and a comfortable, new facility. This is a great place to fly!

Kyneton Aerodrome is a regional airport which is home to the Kyneton Aero Club and a base for many privately owned aircraft

In 1947, the Dept of Transport had taken over the operation of the Pennfield Airport, as the RCAF moved out. TCA realized that this airport, on a main highway from Saint John would serve the city much better than the long dirt roads up to Blissville and on Apr 1 1947 , Blissville was closed and the Pennfield Ridge Airport (YYP) was opened for scheduled service with all DC3 service.

A new route from Halifax/Yarmouth/Saint John/Boston also began on Apr 1 1947 and the Halifax Montreal flight now stopped in Pennfield . By 1951, Pennfield would see up to 10 flights a day through the Airport, including the transborder flights to/from Boston.

With the opening of the new airport in Saint John (YSJ), TCA moved its operation over there on Dec 31/51

Normally, a control tower will put your IFR clearance on request with center, then clear you to taxi to the active while they're waiting for the clearance to arrive for them to relay to you.

In my case, I taxied without the IFR clearance because that was what I was instructed to do when I called for a clearance.

I learned to fly at Sudbury Aviation during the summer of 1967. At the time I was sixteen years of age. The air service had five Fleet 80s (Fleet Canucks) Some of the registrations that I remember are CF-DYX, CF-HOU, & Cf-ENQ. My father, Doug Calver, was a forestry pilot at the time (MNR) based at Parry Sound. We had just moved from Chapleau that spring. My log book says that I soloed with five hours and 40 minutes. It says that it was the Chief Pilot, Charlie Armstrong who was my instructor on that flight. It was also he who took me on my final fight test for the flight part of the license requirements. We were taking off out of Whitewater Lake and there was a thud, and the engine started to run roughly. I just put it back on the water and we coasted to a stop with the engine running at about 1700 RPM. We shut the engine off and Charlie got out onto the float and opened the cowling. He looked the engine over and commented that the crankcase was cracked. He spun the prop and the engine restarted. We headed back to the dock. We completed the balance of the flight test later in the day in another airplane. He was killed a few years later in a crash in a Cessna 180 (CF-MEO) during the winter time.

Since that time I have had the pleasure of flying with my father, and my brother who learned to fly in Parry Sound at Georgian Bay Airways in 1969. We have had the privilege of owning three different types of airplanes: 1961 Piper Comanche 180, 1975 Beech F33A (gorgeous!!!) and a 1976 Cessna Skyhawk 180. They are all gone now. Wasn't flying them enough because of secular commitments and now who can really afford it anyway! But I have many pleasant memories to recall. My father is now 84 years of age and still in good health. If I still had any one of these airplanes, I'd still give him the left seat.
