Syferfontien Airport are the home of the "Johannesburg Light Plane Club" ( JLPC ). Which are the second oldest flying club in the world ( Establish in 1927 ). Many icons in the aviation world and aircraft company,s have there root,s in JLPC. It have a long history of aerobatic champions and world records. The airport have a very tranquil country atmosphere and are situated out side busy air-spaces. The airport was relocated ones from the old Baragwanath site because of industrial development. And it look like development are creeping up again. And the old aviators are slowly fading away. I encourage young aviators to join JLPC at Syferfontein airport and become part of aviation history in the making.
