Comments 1 to 20 of 20 in the thread "Cameroon Pet Scam" (Douala International Airport):

Douala, Cameroon and Pet Express with the help of Che Martin and Christna Rose stated they had 2 beautiful Maltese puppies to be adopted and just moved from the US and can not keep them. Set money via Western Union to Neba Numfor 1st for payment of puppies and then to Bih Miranda for pet insurance. Stated needed money for pet insurance and if I didn't pay I would be arrested and then when puppies were suppose to be in Glasgow for the next trip to the US, stated they need more money for special crate. This is a scam. Phone numbers that have been used are 924-662-00 and 924-662-01. Wish I had seen all of this prior to sending any money. Live and learn

Unfortunately I've been scamed by this site for 210 dlls!

Do not trust arthurporker@gmail.com, this is what he sent me.

hi and thanks for your interest in my lovely babies.i have available

both a male and a female puppy now ready for new homes. They are 11

weeks old, have all shots and worming and are very healthy and lovely

.They will be a perfect gift and addition to your family during this

Christmas season.i have noticed that some people exceedingly buy

puppies but can not care for them, as such, i am reluctant to exchange

my babies for money but i will rather prefer to offer them for free

adoption in to any home that demonstrate to me, a strong feeling for

the love of pets.i am giving them away due to a recent job appointment

and i had to relocated to Miami Fl as such i barely have no time to

spend with them and i have no other option but to give them away to

loving homes that will promise to take good care of them and send me

their pics regularly why with them. Please also let me know your

experience in pet care especially about puppies and this breed in

particular. So what exactly do you need so that i can send to you

pictures of the puppies.(male,female.both?).

Regards,

Happy Xmas in advance.

So, we talked through phone I was only gonna pay for the transportation fee from MIami, which was 210.

I should have known it was a scam because the payment was headed to Cameroon.

A guy from the "Shipment Company" contacted me through this star.petmovers@consultant.com and he said that there is the website was star pet movers . com.. this without any spaces of course. He had a thick accent like asian or indian.

So I sent the money through Western Union, he said that he had sent it and a couple of hours later, he called to said that the puppy had arrived to Texas and that she needed vaccines and it was 300 dlls more. I said I had no more money and that they should have informed about this, to which he answered that they did not know that the puppy was gonna get sick and that they could not take out the puppy from Texas without the vaccines. I kept saying that I did not have more money, and the guy offered to help with a hundred "from the company" but that I still needed to pay 200dlls. Seven hours later, they called me to inform me that they paid for everything and that the puppy was in California, but if I wanted to have the puppy delivered in an hour, I needed to pay the 200dlls right away through Western union the same as before. I said that I was not gonna pay anything else until I see the puppy. They said that the company policies don't allow that. and that it was a serious business that I had nothing to be afraid of. I kept saying that his words didn't mean anything to me, and that I was not gonna give more money until I had proof. He said that he was gonna report me for abandonment and that I would have to pay a fee to the city. I was like "You cannot do that because I didn't sign you anything. So there's no way to blame this on me." At the end he was really mad, and he only said "well we cannot do anything else, so we are gonna take the puppy back, thank you" and hung up.

I wrote them an email saying that if they ever contact me again, the police will take action.

I lost the 210 dollars, but I have learned my lesson. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!

they are doing the SAME thing to me! i had a bad feeling and kept contacting the seller and said to send the animal. Then, the pet movers emailed me about the information and charges, so, i googled starpetmovers and the name of the seller, and so many postings like this came up. Thank you so much! I emailed them and told them that if they want to be real scammers they should think about going to a grammar school. haha. I'm so glad people with experience post things like you did. You definitely saved me!

Don't pay anything! THIS IS A SCAM - THERE IS NO PUPPY!

Here's how this CAMEROON AFRICA PET SCAM works:

The scammer will ask interested buyers to pay the dog’s shipping costs to a fake “pet shipping company” in CAMEROON AFRICA. The victims wire money for the dogs but only get excuses for the delay. Instead, they're repeatedly asked for more money to cover additional "fees" invented by the scammer. Then the scammers will concoct even more fees that the victim needs to pay after the dog has been supposedly shipped.

BEWARE, THESE CAMEROON AFRICA PET SCAMMERS ARE MAGGOTS ALL OVER THE INTERNET.

You can identify these scammers because they will insist you pay by money order or wire transfer. NEVER wire funds via Western Union, MoneyGram or any other wire service -- anyone who asks you to do so is a SCAMMER.
