I'm peruvian and I haven't seen an airport in this city, ever !!! Not even in Flight Simulator.

Thanks for the comment. I don't see any sign of an active airport in the satellite picture, so I've marked it as "closed" for now, unless I find any new information.

I agree that they should increase the runway to at least 10,000ft and upgrade the airport with boarding bays and add another terminal so more airlines will have accommodations Into Cheddi Jagan which will allow aircrafts like the 747 jumbo jet and the largest aircraft airbus a380, and will have more flights from Pearson International. i also recommend that they install an (Instrument Landing System) on every runway so aircrafts can do ILS landing in foggy conditions and low visibility.

It is a great idea and it is very useful to track flights, however it is disrespectful to keep this kind of information if it is not updated. I checked right now the Avior (9V) 1220 Flight departuring from Barcelona, Venezuela and it appears scheduled, and really it is delayed. and the delay is more than one hour.

Better known as Campo dos Afonsas home to Brazilian AF Museum (long white building bottom left) plus some active military - if you like old aircraft look a couple of miles to north for C-47 and C-119 (seperate sites) both in very good condition outside military buildings.....

Dentro da TMA Vitoria, a pista e bem pavimentada, opera diurno apenas, administrado pela
Prefeitura local, não tem hangaragem coberta, mas e muito bem cuidado e vigiado. A praia do Morro (infelizmente horrível) pode ser alcançada a pe, apenas alguns quarteirões. Não tem combustível de forma regular. A cabeceira 06 e turbulenta a maior parte do ano, causa apenas algum incomodo no pouso com vento nordeste (predominante). Gastronomia em Guarapari, frutos do mar, praia, experimente Bacutia, mergulho, vá aos naufrágios Belucia e Victory, fuja do argentino.

Telefone: 55-27-32601136, a freqüência de coordenação e a livre! Para entrada na TMA use a freqüência 119,85. As decolagens devem ter plano ou notificação de vôo, sala AIS SBVT 55-27-32356367. Meteo SBVT 55-27-32356339. SIVU não opera noturno. A CTR SBVT possui REAS. Pistas 05 e 23, asfalto 900 metros. Térmicas e pássaros sao freqüentes nas duas cabeceiras.

There is scheduled airline service as i saw firsthand, but only 1 flight per day.

Increase the length of the runway to accommodate larger jets. Also upgrade to international standards with boarding bays like all other international airports eg Piarco has those, so passengers don't have to climb down those antique stairs, then walk to the terminal building etc. The planes can just pull up to the bays and passengers get off and walk into the airconditioned building and straight to customs and immigration.

I was air america pilot here I 1980s. Best to be well trained before arrival. Mountains 3 sides. Severe drop off cliffs on both ends. There is no go around unless you are in a fighter. Approach straight in land to west take off to east. Always low ceiling and fog mist. Surrounded by river. We could get loaded c130 in here. Barely. Had a leased dehavilland that was better and safer. Oh yes there is a volcano off the east end about 7 miles outnon otherwise flat terrain. This is a real got ya if you are not paying attention. Also we are missing a c130 and crew out there somewhere. If you find wreckage report it.
