Great airport. My only criticisms are that the service was a little slow in the Chairman's Lounge and it took me a while to get through customs.

I fly from Jandakot and flew over this a while back. Is it open to the public for landing, or for a visit by car to view the historic aircraft on the ground?

Reply to @HomerT: Thank you for the update.

Reply to @HomerT: thank you very much for the comment. That's a long runway for helicopters -- are you certain that STOL fixed-wing aircraft don't use the strip?

Quite a busy airport, with lots of Cessna Caravans coming and going. A great town too.

This airstrip is owned & operated by BHP Billiton Iron Ore and services it's yandi mining operations and surrounding exploration activities.

The strip is also shared By RTIO Yandicoogina operation. (The Yandicoogina strip YYCN listed no longer exists)

This, once private airstrip, was owned by Hamersly Iron for exploration activities. It 'disappeared' many years ago as the ground has been mined and the strip destroyed.

Rio Tinto currently shares BHP Biliton's Barimunya strip.

This is a private airstrip owned and operated by BHP Billiton Iron Ore to service mining activities in the area.

This airstrip is a private strip owned bt Rio Tinto Iron Ore to service the Namuldi, Brokman 2 and Silvergrass mining and exploration activities.

The position is closer to S22.39186 E117.37623 (this is the approx position of the "terminal" (or shed)).

he position show is on a range and would be inaccesable by fixedwind aircraft.

Non-towered. Radio calls "Myrup Traffic" on 126.7 Mhz. Runways are 04/22 and 14/32. 04 is a right hand circuit, all the others are left hand. Look out for kangaroos on the runways when arriving around dusk.

If you have complaints about an airport, could you provide details to help other visitors (and the airport owners, if they want to improve)? For example, did you think the fees were too high, the gas too expensive, the service too slow, facilities not well-maintained?

Hi we had my husbands birthday drinks and dinner there and it was awesome. Cold beer great food and even better service. There were around 14 of us and not one person had a single complaint. I highly recommend Brew 42 to everyone :)

Hi my name is Graeme Sellers the publican at Brew 42 Brewery (the old lake clifton tavern). On the 19/12/10 I had a contractor come in and grade up the air strip. We haven't got a wind sock yet but we are looking at getting it up asap. We have great food at the tavern and if you're thinking of staying the night accommodation is available. We brew our own beers and there are six to choose from. Any enquiries please call me on 08 9739 1010.

Good beach nearby but track was hard to find!

The strip has recently been upgraded, including markers. It is very smooth.

There seems to be differing rates for AVGAS. Might pay to ring ahead to negotiate.

The yabbie farm is located nearby.

If you want to get a way from it all. This strip is just around 1000 km north from Perth. Well worth it!

Thanks for the correction. It's hard to find AU airport info, and a lot of what I have is inaccurate -- I've fixed the lat/lon as you suggested.

Tom Price Airport is currently sparse of traffic, and only accommodates the Royal Flying Doctor's Service and a few recreational flyers who want to get up their practice. This used to be the main airport for Tom Price, however since the airport in Paraburdoo was built it has become somewhat disused. Plans are going ahead to rebuild the Tom Price airport however no estimated date has been given. Also the Latitude and Longtitude for this airport are somewhat incorrect. The correct coordinates are 22.746°S, 117.869°E at an altitude of approximately 700m (2300ft). Runway length is approximately 760m (2500ft).

This is the RAAF's busiest base by aircraft movements, and serves as an alternate landing site for the U.S. NASA space shuttles.

On arrival at the Bunbury Airport, be sure to call into the newly renovated Aero Club building. We are open 7 days a week and our pilot shop sells maps and charts. Come and say hi and have a drink on the deck for a great view of the strip!

Flying in here I am always amazed at the size of the holes in the ground. There must be some awfully big rabbits in these parts.

This airport has to hold some sort of record for the number of SID's and STAR's. I guess they want to make it look like a big place. ATC seem to think they are at Chicago or somewhere.

One thing in very short supply is ramp space, and the delays in getting to the runway (particularly early in the morning - everyone seems to want to depart at 0600) are unbelievable.

A very clean and pleasant city though.
