Flew here again a couple weeks ago. Nothing has changed really - great terminal is still deserted. What a waste of $$. Maybe they should have spent some of the cash on signage. Noticed this time - there is not ONE runway or taxi sign on the airport. Even with a map from the AOPA database in Foreflight it was confusing finding runway 5 start. Paint is worn off as well so watch out crossing runways with no signs or markings.

Maryland Air is the FBO in the terminal building just NW of the approach end of Rwy 22. Visited 7/12-15/2010 in a C-182. They proved very helpful, friendly and courteous in providing rental car, a/c parking and directions. I'd use them again.

Very good. Seems to get a fair local non-airport trade in addition to itinerant pilots. The soft drinks are served in large mason jars, and the lemonade was delicious and welcome on a hot day. I had the ham-and-cheese club sandwich w/ fries. The tomato was fresh local produce; a good value at $6.50.

This airport is one of the "DC-3", along with Hyde Field [W32] and Hyde Field [W32]. It lies inside the inner Flight Restricted Zone (FRZ) of the Washington DC ADIZ, and access is allowed only to pilots who have been pre-screened and obtained a special Personal Identification Number (PIN). This is in addition to the normal ADIZ procedures. As a result, it won't usually make sense for non-local pilots to try to use this airport.
