I've never flown in, but drove by once and had to stop to investigate the strange armada of old WWII aircraft, and other unique attractions. Apparently this is all related to Hawkins and Powers aviation who do "special things" with airplanes. (i.e. movie flying; airspray; fire fighting conversions...). Zoom in on the above Google map and see if you can identify all the parked aircraft on the various ramp areas!

Afton Wyoming, home of the Aviat Aircraft factory. Ask for a tour of the factory and see how Aviat can rebuild a damaged aircraft or update an older model to "better than new".

There is a new FBO here, managed by the former Aviat factory test pilot. I hope to visit on my next trip West and will comment on the service.
