I was there for a month as a student some 25 years ago. Plus a flew Navajos over the island after I finished patrolling the Transatlantic submerged communication cable. The island is deemed a sanctuary so only a handful get to see it. I was one of the lucky ones. It's about 21 miles of sand so they an Islander on the sand.
