Right-Hand Circuits Only. One Way IN Runway 18. One Way OUT Runway 36. No circuit allowed on Sundays. Engine Runups with Propwash North Min Altitude over Lodge = 1500ft AGL. Engine may only be started ON RUNWAY. Usable runway 700m of total 850m (25m wide). WARNING: Be aware of lightening detector on 18 (90ft). WARNING: MOUNTAIN RANGE (1700m/5580ft) behind the landing strip (southern end). WARNING: Cables at roadway on NORTH end of runway. WARNING: Runway used at Pilot's own risk.

Aeroden Lodge is a fantastic flyaway location BUT please book in advance as it is booked out on most weekends. Awesome flying along the Magaliesburg mountains and Hartebeespoort Dam. NOTE: Check for game on airstrip before landing!!

Potch airfield is the home to Akavlieg Potcheftsroom, a prominent gliding club in South Africa. The airfield is also home to the JS factory - a 18m glider factory. This glider has performed exceptionally well in world competitions. The extra runway was never really needed for the Spaniards, but a "Lanseria" might just kill the gliding of. It might have been good if all stakeholders were considered before the big ideas started flying around.

One of the things that this site provides is a link to the official web site for the airport (if we know of it). In the case of this airport, we do have a link to it. Perhaps if you can't find what you want here, you should try the one that people are actually getting paid to maintain, instead of rubbishing the one that's done by volunteers?

Thanks for talking a look around. We provide open data for over 40,000 airports around the world, much of it contributed by our members. For real-time arrivals and departures, however, we depend on FlightStats, which kindly lets us republish their status pages for airports that have airline service. If there are other features you'd like to see, please let us know, and I'll look into adding them (this is a volunteer/hobby site, so speed of new features depends on the time I can get free from work and family obligations).

I used this Airfield for additional Training flights. And once we flew into Lanseria inbound from Maputo - after a crazy 9 day transfer flight of a brand new Pilatus Porter from Switzerland all the way down to SA.

When trying to see actual live ORTambo arrival/departure information via the internet it is rather outdated. What can you expect from a 1st world country that became a 3rd world country. I thought they might get even better after independance, but was I wrong, they are getting worse.
