I too managed to land here from Gatwick, with hours of delay in the middle of the night on an old AirBus 319 shaking rattling quivering scarry but alive

Reply to @juf: Thanks - I've marked the airport as closed for now, and can change the status back when the new runway is ready. I'm guessing it won't be only a glider airport in the future.

new RWY orientation will be 15/33 or 14/32 ?! and will be paved-asphalt

Has at east 330 flyable days in the year.

The "only" reason the airfield may be closed is for strong NE gusting wind Bora.

Use low and powered approach path to Rwy 13 in this case; abort landing soon and divert to the right ASAP in such case (rotor at the and of Rwy13).

Take-off on Rwy31 even if the wind comes a bit tail; there are strong rotors at the end of Rwy13 creating gusting downwash and a lot of turbulence.

Managed to land here in a snowstorm in a CRJ...exctinig but safe!
